Angel watching over me 2

A bright light

The blades of grass glisten with the kisses of the sun.

The purple kohlrabi seem to dance from shade to shade as if trying to capture the rays of light that fall on it.

My skin, although protected by layers of light clothing, gleams with the sun’s touch.

The straw hat that I wear to protect my brow creates a shadow on the ground that seems to jump back and forth.

Wow! What was that?

What was that bright light?

Fractured mind

Am I seeing with my human mind or have I gone mad?

Am I seeing with a peculiar eye an extraordinary shifting of light?

Am I seeing a Heavenly being?

Is that an angel?

Is this real?

Pillar of Heavenly light

A tall pillar of heavenly light stands before me.

It must be heavenly because nothing so bright could exist on earth.

I can't look directly at it, but I try.

It seems to nod at me.

The head tilts upward, and with a swift movement, wings spread upward then down, as the angelic being soars toward heaven.

I have seen an Angel!

I get the message that angels have always been there

watching over me.

I don't know why I have been blessed with this vision.

I don't know why I have been blessed with this visit.

I don't know why I have been taken on as a mission.

I'm guessing that the sadness in my heart the last few months has been noticed.

Why would God send his little miracle workers to me?

Angel in the backseat

Angel in the backseat

I have seen an Angel.

I turn the keys to my car, and listen to the engine roar.

I glance in the rear-view mirror to begin reversing.

It's so bright.

They are wings or they look like wings.

Is this another angel?

The song playing on the radio is "Praise you in the storm."

It always seems to come on when I am feeling a little stressed.

There are wings spread out in the backseat of my car.

It must be an angel.

I have already been visited before.

Why would I question it now?

Does it feel my pain?

Does it feel my hurt?

Is it here to cure me?

Is it here to accompany me on my last journey?

Or like before, is it just here spreading encouragement to me in the toughest of times.

Angel at my bedside

Divine signs

I have seen an angel.

An angel has come to me to feed my soul.

I have seen an angel.

I am never afraid.

I see my angels as divine signs that are with me every day,

helping me to still believe in miracles.

Now I wonder:

Does an angel deliver my mail?

Will the next visit be in a blinding rush of wings?

Or will it be in the calm of night as I lay gently sleeping?

I continue to see angels.

I can't really argue for or against the existence of Lot's wife. Archaeologists have argued that evidence of a pillar of salt, near the area where Sodom and Gomorroh is supposed to have been located, has been proven to be that of Lot's wife. How? I do not know.

What I do know is that living in the past or in the future only causes stress, not to mention one misses out on the wonderful gift of the present moment. If we have to look back, it should be on lessons learned, and not in a form of regret.

Nice, my Sweet Gina. You express what I believe of you... always moving forward; utilising or maximising each opportunity to learn. So wonderful!

Never mind me. I'm a little 'crazy' with those I love. Not good if it becomes too harsh. My apologies.

About Lot's wife, I do not know that she ever existed. Prophets and Seers... and Manatita (chuckle), sometimes speak in metaphors, allegories, parables ... we like to paint pictures for the Lord. (smile).

I could easily have said: 'Continue as you're doing; to seek only the Kingdom of Heaven, knowing that once obtained, you will automatically acquire everything else. Now in London. Love you lots!!!

I don't this is a matter of getting caught up with them, or being side-tracked, or having them slow down the journey. I believe that they are a part of my journey. I am fully aware of their presence, but I do know that they are only a part of the journey that I take through this trip called life.

I can only speak from my experience with them, and nothing else. Even though when I was growing up I read about angels, heard about angels, was taught about angels, it was not until my personal experiences cemented that "seeing is believing."

I am a little confused, though, Manatita, about the "Lot's wife" reference as I have never compared myself or my journey with hers, as "moving forward" has always been a direction that I focus on. Every event in my life has been a learning opportunity. I don't live life looking in the rear-view mirror unless I am learning from an experience...never to stay there....and I have actually written a hub to that effect.

Always a joy to hear from you, and your wisdom is always welcomed.

      Much love.

Angels, eh? Great if you have the gift or are interested. I know a gifted lady called Lorna Byrne from Ireland. Look her up! She has written a couple or so books. A couple of my friends in the Sri Chinmoy Centre likes her very much.

I went to see her once, against my better judgement. She was fine and answered many questions. Somehow to me the whole thing felt very hollow. I guess I'm used to hearing about much greater heights and deeper depths.

The old testament writings are somewhat like that of modern Yogis. One should never look back. If you have the opportunity to live in an ocean of bliss, why seek a piece of candy?

I can sometimes seem harsh. They are our guiding deities and do play very significant roles. Kudos to you if you can see them. As one develops spiritually, one acquires more powerful beings to guide them. Guruji calls them Emanations. They either help us or take our messages directly to God. Even so, they too, are as nothing compared to the ocean of stillness awaiting us.

I say all this in good faith. Lots wife turned back and was turned into a pillar of salt. Yogis say that all these things are like beautiful flowers along the way... that if we get caught up with them, they side track us and slow down the journey. It is always good to keep ones eyes on the Golden Shore and not look back. This is the Path of Devotion. Much Love, Gina.

Magnificent colors to compliment your poem about angels. I do believe we have a guardian angel if we are open to the possibility and live a worthy life.

I found one here on hub!

Sometimes I am lead to believe that angels are inside of each of us. Your work here is angelic to me.

Your poem feels very beautiful. I want to do it justice. Let me get back to London tomorrow, God's willing, and I will look at it as well as your forum thread. God bless you, Gina, and all my Love.
