A Cruise Vacation Can Change a Man's Life

When Tad goes on a cruise alone after breaking up with his boyfriend, he expects nothing more than relaxing on his stateroom balcony and catching up on some reading. But that changes when he meets Nick, a hot, single man who is very attracted to Tad. There's only one problem: Tad's still in the closet. The only people who know he's not straight are his former partners. Can he actually have a relationship with Nice, who's out and totally unashamed of his sexuality?

A Good LGBT Romance Story With a Lot of Sex

This story was really good for the most part. I liked both Nick and Tad a lot, as well as Nick's sister, Maggie, even though she has a much smaller role in the story.

However, there was a lot of sex.

Don't get me wrong, I love well-written sex scenes. And these were very well-written. But there were three very lengthy scenes in this short story, one right after another. I got bored quickly.

Almost Acceptable Insta-Love

There is definitely insta-love here, as well. After one night together, both Nick and Tad are determined to make this relationship work, even if it means changing their lifestyles. One. Night.

However, this insta-love isn't as bad as many I've read. It's more like insta-lust, which is acceptable. And both Tad and Nick acknowledge that what they're feeling is crazy. And I guess a little bit of insta-love is better than dragging out a book that has no real plot. (Of course, a real, well-written plot that gives the characters time to fall in love is ideal, but this is a short story).

So while the insta-love is there, it's not as heinous as other stories. If you are looking for a quick, fun read, then I highly recommend this story. You can get it for free on Smashwords.
