Book Review: Hood of Sedna: A Capot Adventure Series
Stevie Capot leaves her unpleasant past to get a chance of a new life. However, things in life aren’t easy, so she ends up being a thief. Her intentions are good; she steals to look after the destitute people of Sedna, earning her reputation as the “Hood of Sedna.”
The dangerous life she lives becomes more complicated because of a bad encounter with Tristan, the Marshal. She then becomes the most wanted thief that two bounty hunters with magical powers must capture and kill, under the demands of Tristan. However, these two mystical men named Rowan and Sebastian, find themselves attracted to Stevie because of their connection in the past. Will Stevie be safe and protected by these men, or will one of them bring her head to the Marshal?
Hood of Sedna: A Capot Adventure Series is a western steampunk fantasy novel by L.D. Wosar. Stevie Capot is a captivating woman with two different eye colors, making her physically different from the others. She steals to help the poor, just like the legendary Robin Hood.
The book was an easy read for me, hence easy to finish, plus it was short and very light. Readers who want to relax would enjoy reading this kind of theme because despite the gravity of the protagonist’s situation, it was written with amusing lines. I like the characters, storyline, and most especially the setting, so I enjoyed reading this book. The only thing I dislike about it is the poor editing. I have spotted some errors though they didn’t impact the overall reading experience, so I’m still giving this book a good score. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars; it is creative, unwinding, and a page-turner. I recommend this to all readers who love magic and adventure stories.
