What do you do when the world is almost perfect but there is a group who wants change?
In the year 6,749, the world has become more perfect and of the same kind except for a group called the Randoms, who live outside of this world. Jordan is a time traveler who is beautiful inside and out. She is in love with Lumi, who is her partner but not like what the humans mean it to be. In this world, humans are just a word. Jordan is a temporal scout in which her career and her life have been engineered to travel through time and collect data then go back home to upload the data in a computer timeframe. The reason for collecting data is to know what time and places would be safe for time tourists to visit. They are not to interfere. When Jordan was engineered, curiosity was a characteristic that was ingrained in her. This curiosity led her to meet the Randoms when she was younger. With this meeting led to a horrific experience which led her to kill serial killers. If she is caught, she will face severe consequences, she is at peace with this but is concerned about Lumi. While she is on an assignment, a voice from her time appears telling her that they are not happy with her results. What her bosses don't know is that she is killing killers before they become serial killers. She is on the hunt of a new killer. Jordan learns that she has caught the eye of the Auditor and that Lumi can't protect her anymore. Can she stop with what she is doing before it is too late? The Auditor has come to erase Jordan. She is helped by Mike a kind bartender. She learns that there are others and this is what keeps her going as she is betrayed. What happens next, you will need to read the book.

This book is great. I am glad that this world is not real. I couldn't imagine a world where everyone is the same and there are no real feelings. Can you imagine loving someone but there is no melting inside or emotion? Ricky writes about a world in the way future that makes the reader feel like they are there and that it is real. I love that this novel intertwines the future (of what can be) and that of the past. While reading through this novel, you can figure out how the novel got its title. This book is interesting and captivates you from the beginning. This is an interesting novel about when beings are engineered and not human anymore. They don't procreate but have children engineered. There are twists and turns that I didn't expect. This book is will keep you on your toes.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is an avid time traveler or fantasy reader. I believe that anyone who is fascinated by human engineering and the way the future would love to read this novel.
