Brilliant Universe
The brilliance of the universe, colors enrapturing to all who see,
As from my outpost on this blue earth, it is where I'd rather be.
Daylight affords these greening sights, the oceans of a majesty,
Night time brings on the starlight's display, so bright in its purity.
The swirls and twirls of the night's own sky, as a kaleidoscope,
A vibrant canvas enthralls all to see, gives art its greatest hope.
Reds, yellows, and oranges prevail, blues show beneath a veil,
As meteors soar about widest space, leaving their marking trail.
A gift of vision, grandest delight, as we view the wondrous scene,
This heavenly presentation unequaled, of its elements, all pristine..
Universe within universes, beyond our greatest thoughts, so keen.
Black holes dot the wide spaces, hide in plain sight, as in a dream.
The beautiful world, earth and in space, so fine, to be so impressive,
Viewed with a naked eye, or by giant telescopes, to be so obsessive.
An artist we owe for such miraculous gifts, our own Creator, our God,
Fashioned from paints with a caring love, all taken from the very sod.
