Bring on the Night for I Am Waiting

Updated on February 27, 2013

Bring on the the night for I am waiting

Waiting to be taken by dark mist

The grey that swirls around full moon

In and out of twinkling stars

Grey mist that surrounds me

Lifts me and transports me

To other worlds beyond this realm

A kingdom fashioned by the hands of dreams

A land where the imagined becomes reality

And "no" ceases to exist

I want to fly to meet destiny

On wings of a great bird

Fashioned by the hand of a Great Spirit

Created just for me and no one else

Bring on the night for I am waiting

Come to me least I wait in vain

Voted up and beautiful. Wonderful ode to the night. The past two nights I've been lying in my bed and admiring the full moon looking into my window.

This is really quite lovely, Sherri! I saw the title yesterday and bookmarked it so I could get to it today and I'm not disappointed. I was reminded of a song by Van Morrison I think..."Here Comes The Night"....or maybe it was the Trogs. Not sure which, but this poem should be in the jacket liner of that song.
