You are Broken, I've been Shattered
I just didn't let the pieces scatter

People look into my face
& cannot see all my tatters

People look into my eyes
that they sparkle is all that matters

Through every story, dark & light
I serve myself peace upon a platter

What people do not understand
Is that the shine they see within me
comes from the glitter that I'm covered in
made from being completely Shattered

The true threat is not from being Shattered
the threat lies only in what you let scatter

Nice to meet you rdsparrowriter. I am so happy that you enjoyed my work. I tend to pour out and leave behind. I do not carry things with me. God bless you too!

Your writing is so deep. I hope you'll find peace and comfort through writing them out. A broken heart can write passionate rhymes that touch so many others. I admire who can write like this :) God bless you!

I had Sayuri's theme song on here from the movie Geisha but today I stumbled upon a new song that pairs well... Hope you enjoy.

Yes, it is easy to turn... harder to fight it. Such is the way with venom.

Nice to see you Wayne. Thanks for reading. What is it that they say about great minds. I would like to read your work, tell me when it is up. Our works do not compete with each other. I wouldn't want you to hold yours... ever. Tho, the comment was laced with flattering compliments that I am grateful to receive.

Very interesting! I wrote a piece today with the words, shatter, scatter, tatter and matter. Must have been my premonition tendencies working. Well, I will definitely hold onto it for awhile, because i cannot place it with this beautiful piece.

Thank you for loving it Michael. I had considered this piece light and hopeful, hahaha, I guess its still dark. Facing things that shake and break you are not things you can avoid in this life. I just don't believe that broken has to be a bad thing. My life has given me a lot of inspiration, both light and dark. Collectively, it has been the reason that I am not trapped or tortured. I feel things while I am in the thick and then let things go.

I have read your work and enjoy it but I would hope that you write the pieces that do not take much trying whether they come to you as l light or dark.

Love your poetry .. I could say that it is sad .. but that word is thrown about so many times in poetry ..I tend to look beyond the sadness to the words meanings..

I am very curious as to why you write these dark pieces .. I can only gather from previous readings of the things that are in your past ..that influence your writings .. the release you seek is within these words .. for my heart also is heavy with the torment of a tortured soul.. .. it relates to my past and my battle with addiction ..which is dark .. but even when you have been with someone for many years and the light has gone dark out of the relationship.. it is sad also .. very few could relate to this .. saying that it is wonderful to be together so long .. Love is there but shallow.. and empty (if there is such a thing) ..well I have said to much now.! but poems bring these feeling out of me .. I have those moments ..so now I try to write happier pieces.

great poem .. hope to see more of your poetry !

      Thanks for listening..

      Love

      Michael
