Bubblews Vs. Hubpages: Two Writing Outlets That Will Let You Earn Dollars! But Which One is Better?

Updated on September 2, 2014

My Bubblews Story

In my case, I joined Bubblews when it was just in its early stages. When there were only 1/100th of the sites total population, when everyone believed that it is just another site that opened to scam people, but those things never bothered me. I continued writing and after almost 20 months of uninterrupted writing, I managed to write more than 1,000 articles and a good 40+ payouts already!

Sounds envious? Nope, I can see hundreds of different authors that had been earning more than what I am making, but I don't care, as long as I write what I want to write and I am earning something then I am totally fine with it!

The Advantage of Engaging Your Time with Bubblews/Hubpages Rather than Facebook

The good thing about these two sites is that if you have common knowledge and a spark of interest towards a certain topic, then you can really make a small amount of dime that will be sufficient enough for you to have a dinner in a restaurant in about once a month! If you think that you're discouraged after hearing you're only making small amount of money, then you need to realize this is just about starting your new venture. If you thought that these two sites will give you $$$ instantly then you're just waiting your time. (My suggestion? Take your resume with you, apply for a high paying job and there you have it, $$$)

Look at some of the old members here in Hubpages and in Bubblews, they are earning lots of cash that are deposited in their PayPal accounts, but all of those dollars and cents are a product of hard work and real dedication. So if you believe that you both have those qualities then maybe you can earn as much as them too!

The real key in finding success in the online world is that you need to have patience and a whole lot of passion, because if you are just here for the bling then I don't think these two sites are for you. You see, writing is easy when you look at all these articles, but actually, authors like myself find it real hard to write such detailed articles that would really captivate the audience's attention!

My HubPages Story

Now this one's a really different story. I just joined recently and I am not yet making any money because Google Adsense has not approved my account yet. But the thing is that, I always continue writing because I know sooner or later, Adsense will finally approve my application and I will soon see a little amount of cents deposited in my earnings tab!

The real trouble here is writing the articles and promoting them! I found it real hard to write such high-quality articles that will engage readers to read and participate. But I still try my best, after all, writing is my passion and this challenge is actually great in the long run.

So now, I will run an in-depth comparison between the two sites I mentioned! Both have their respective advantages and of course, the inevitable disadvantages. It might be quite long but please bear with me.

In Terms of Being a Newbie

Bubblews. Basically, all the new bubblers need to know are the rules that the site implemented a year ago, to avoid plagiarism, traffic-bots and copyrighted photos. After signing up and making your Bubblews account, you can then create your first article and earn few cents or you can explore the site for further advantage! If you think of planning to sign-up for Bubblews then I suggest you should really first check what is inside the Learning Center, all of the rules and regulations are written in full text there and once you followed all the rules then you'll probably have no problems in getting your first eCheck payment unless perhaps if it is delayed which is quite normal considering a lot of bubblers are redeeming every day!

HubPages. In general, it's more complicated here in HubPages. First and foremost, if you want to earn right away, you need to have an already approved Google Adsense account or else you need to write a couple of Featured Hubs first before Google will approve your application. And speaking of Featured Hubs you need to create a unique high-quality content first or else your hub will go unpublished and that will hurt your rating. You will need to have 5 Featured Hubs in order to pass the so-called Bootcamp and when you do get that target, you'll receive an email that you're a top-notch content creator which will greatly boost your confident! The main disadvantage too here is that, unlike Bubblews where you could start earning right away without a lot of requirements, you need to manually configure your account to earn money. So unless you never configured it, then you know what will happen, you will never earn here!So unless you never configured it, then you know what will happen, you will never earn here!

Welcome to Bubblews Video!

In Terms of the Sites Appearances

Bubblews. Bubblews interface is quite simple. In fact, the site upgraded just two months ago and it is getting a lot of positive feedbacks from the bubblers of the community for its idealistic simplicity. After the site upgraded to a newer version (suited for a perfect mobile view too), it is a lot easier to navigate around, all the important buttons to click were transferred in the left side of the screen and the rest of the space is the space for the article and some advertisements which is the way that you will earn money in a different way than Adsense though. When you first visit the site because you want to sign up, then it is relatively easy, you will find it right there in front of your eyes and all you need to do is to fill up those required fields!

HubPages. Again, quite complicated but rather eye-catching. The important aspect of this site is that it is media-rich which means you could see a lot of visuals (including photos, videos and other media-related contents) which could effectively attract a lot of readers and engage them in a discussion. Sometimes though, you'll find it hard to navigate in this site. You will often ask yourself, where can I see my earnings? How can I configure my account? Where can I see my HubberScore? And stuff like that! But that's not the case considering there are a lot of features in this site!

How much money I have earned while writing online?

I could not say to you the exact amount of the money I made online because I have lost the PayPal receipts in my Mail Inbox! But one thing I must tell you is that I am still a college student and the money I earned here were enough to buy me new clothes, branded shoes, furnitures for my apartment and I paid a part of my tuition fee (more to come of course)! So that speaks a lot.

In the Money that You Make

Bubblews. Perhaps the best part of this site is that you will earn right away. There's a $1 gift sitting in your bank when you sign-up and there's no other way than to go up. Bubblews will pay you for every like that you get, the views that you received and the comments that your articles make. Bubblews will pay you $0.01 or 1 cent for every single like, comment or views. So if your short article will get 50 views, 35 likes and 15 comments, then you will have another $1 added in your bank. You will have to write and write a lot of articles to get your way up to the minimum required amount for redemption which is $50. It is quite a long way for newbies, but once you have an active connection and interaction in the site then you'll find it a whole lot easier than your first time! You will have to wait for around 30 days to get your payment due to high volumes of redemption everyday. The staff have to manually check your account to see if you violated any rules and if you didn't, then you'll receive the prize of your hard work right in your inbox!

HubPages. For newbies like me, I am not yet earning a single cent here. But as I said, I never worry because once I established a concrete foundation and planted new seeds, then it will blossom into something beautiful. If you don't have the patience for that, then HubPages is certainly not for you. Some hubbers pointed out that they didn't earn much until they turned one year old in the site so that's quite a long way to go. And because you only earn for the clicks in your AdSense and commission from Amazon or eBay once someone made a purchase, earning would rather be difficult here than the other site! The good thing is that you have the potential to earn a lot here because it actually work like that of a blog. And most of the time, high-quality blogs earn $$$ from AdSense, so there's still a silver lining!

Your decision?

What site am I suitable?

What's the Final Verdict?

If you really want to start earning right away, I suggest you should go to Bubblews first. If you don't think you still don't have the ability to write quality contents, I suggest you should go to Bubblews too.

I am not saying that you should not try HubPages, but for you not to waste your time then follow my advice above. After all, when you think that you are ready enough to go into another level of creativity and writing skill, then you could finally join us here in HubPages and enjoy the fun of being a top-notch writer too!

And if you think you have what it takes to be a great author and content-sharer then you straight-away sign up for a HubPages account!

Do you still feel the same way about Bubblews today? And has your luck changed on Hubpages for the better?

Interesting hub. I have a account at Bubblews, only written a few bubbles and haven't earned enough yet to get paid.

I'm very busy now setting up my account and getting to know other HubPage members here, as a ex Squidoo transfer, waiting for my 230 lens to be transferred. Looking forward to more of your hubs.

I am thinking you might have violated their rules. I have been continually receiving eChecks until now and so are a lot of people. Hehe.

I am on HP for a while now and prefer it here. Bubblews owes me four payments and I have wasted my precious time there.
