A Bundle of Joy!

Updated on November 18, 2011

A bundle of joy

Arrives in our family.

He is wrapped like a package

And we are oozing with cuddles.

He has such a tender touch

Makes us go frail and weak in our knees.

His soft fingers are such a treat to touch

Beats all the stress and strains in our lives.

His innocence is beaming on his face

Makes us want to captivate it and always keep it protected.

His eyes search past us and around the room

While we stare at him with glee and joy.

He gives us a smirk from the side of his mouth while trying to get comfortable in this new environment

We join our hands and say our Grace and ask for Blessings for this Angel-Face.

      PRECIOUS CHILDREN By BERNARD LEVINE

Bless your children with the power of prayer

      Celebrate their uniqueness

      Feed them encouragement and inspiration

and let them feel they are greatly loved.

Teach your children the beauty of kindness

Enrich them with the wonders of nature

Fill their hearts with joyful melody

      and always be their friend.

      Clothe your children in goodness

Make their world full of nice surprises

Help them to follow their dreams

and thank God they came into your life.

      Hi Gwen,

So true. Toddlers are angels and when they grow up and start talking and demanding...gosh, devils in disguise...lol

I cherish my kid's toddler days than now...thanks for the read and your valuable comment. loved it!

Oh how sweet!!! Congratulations to you and your family. I was just listening to a song that says, "Freedom has the scent like the top of a newborn baby's head."

I love & miss that smell, my youngest just turned 3,,,,but his breath still has the sweet smell that reminds me of the taste of amrit.

For me, babies prove that the Real Nature of us human beings is in a word, "GOOD"

      Congratulations :)

Well i must agree with Epi. It's a celebration of the arrival of a bundle of joy. Your words speak of the happiness within. The need for rhyme is nonexistent, although the last line rhymes with the words, grace and face. Well done Ruchira..Bravo..

..well I must say there are two gifts of life on this page - the birth of a child and the birth of this lovely and heartfelt poem which needs no rhyme - it's just fine the way it is - because this celebration of life flows naturally from you and direct from the heart - although I have another gift in life to you just now and that is my friendship and my respects to you by posting this beauty to my FACEBOOK page with a direct link back here.
