Busy All Night Long

Updated on October 22, 2014

Non Stop All Day

Cleaning up our yard

Before winter strikes

Heavy rain hits the area

Falling leaves everywhere

Hours later

Darkness forces me to come in

Not a moments rest

On the computer trying to find inner turmoil

Body aching

Watching television for a distraction

Immediately submersed in a world filled with action

All clean after a shower

Two Aleve later

I constantly find my thoughts crossing the line

From reading stories and writing mine

Indulging in two yogurts at one time

Cranberry juice and a great Gala apple

So crisp devoured almost entirely

Leaving one small piece

Called the core left behind

The rain hypnotic and powerful

Drowns my sorrows and entices me to a deep sleep

Refreshed I try again to gain my composure

Watching our cat kneading her way

Through the blanket

As her claws sink into my legs

Stretching out now exhausted from a long day

Curls in a ball

Lays where ever her body falls

To a beautiful deep sleep

Gypsy Rose Lee After three straight days of rain it finally cleared. Sunny and warm today around 60 degrees. Winters coming but not today. Thank you for reading and sharing your lovely adventures of Sid. Charlette would say hi but she is sound asleep on our bed and I don't want to wake her. Because when I want to go to bed she will be ready to play. I was hoping you would drift off into dreamland and when you awake you will have an incredible story to tell.

I read this and I could hear the rain, then the purring like of my own cat and finally I was already practically drifting away. Hope you're weekend in sunny and relaxing. My fur ball Sid has been sleeping on and off all day by the heater because we already have such cold weather.
