Cactus also cries – the poem
I long for some sweet touch
Yes for some sweet melody
Near me and forever,
But only few neglected glances
You do throw toward me
For I am a cactus, ignored ever!
Identity little vague
Yet I born out of dry emotions
Some strange aura,
Some hollow heart
And there I spring to live
Just as I adorn, even the Atacama.
Being Cardon’ some where
I spray some colors to bare rocks
I do befriend their loneliness,
I share their many talks
Emotions also they have
And I feel wanted, for their caress.
Then I sing lullaby in Andes
To the crying waterfalls
As nobody concerns to feel the apathy,
In the many crevices of the
Rocky hearts I add pink hues
For B. liliputana, I am there lovingly.
Some places yes love me sure
Which is rare and precious pure
Adored as State Wildflower of Arizona,
I so adorn the Arizona sunset
Saguaro to bloom the night lure
Nectar of love, I wish to scatter far arena.
I do yarn for some sweet talks
And I play role as Pereskia
To liven the earth with few shades,
I try to thank all by being
The Thanks Giving Cactus
Fruit for thought, I wish few embraces.
Though I wear sepia thorns
I too have a heart,
Though I adore arid rocks
I too wish some love.
Among the beautiful trees and blooms
Hope you all have few room for me too !
