Calling In the Dark - How A Vampire Bite Calls You in the Dark
Sometimes we want what we know is bad for us all the more.
Mm, Lestat. Yummy. I thought Townsend better than Pit.
I did not create, nor do I own the video above. It is a montague of scenes from Anne Rice's movie adaptation of the novel "The Vampire Lestat" It was created and uploaded to youtube.com by tornprincess. The song is by Townsend.
Callings In the Dark
Late at night I heard a call.
Darkness fell around all
that encircled me.
I could not flee.
~
Your calling enthralled.
I tried so hard to stall.
It was meant to be.
But why me?
~
I know you for what you truly are.
You appear to be a shining star.
But I feel death’s breath in your call.
I don’t really want to fall
~
for you, my darkest fear,
yet to me you appear.
I can’t turn away,
though I don’t want to stay.
~
I’m under your spell
cast so well
in musical tones
reaching into my bones.
~
Pulling me ever closer to my doom.
You smile over me and loom
captivating what is already gone.
Against all reason for you I long.
~
Your bite is so sweet
when you smile and eat
what is left of my soul
filling the hole
~
left from a life of regret.
I should be so upset
but welcome you in
to cleanse and begin
~
my farewell dance this night.
I no longer can fight.
Thus I go through the gate.
Your calling was my fate.
~
From the astral plane I see
you drain the last blood from me.
A single tear upon your face
you killed what you only meant to abase,
~
to own as your trophy bride.
Something I will never abide.
So I give unto you it all
escaping your seductive call.
How do you view vampires?
Some cast them as villains, others tragic heroes? What are your thoughts?
A vampire wife's appatite
I never wanted your life.
I wanted to be your wife.
Since the night of the bite,
nothing is really all right.
I see your thick vein throb
my morals away to rob.
I can't live with what I've done.
I've taken the life of the only one,
that could ever be for me.
My dear husband...
I'm so sorry for thee.
