Cardiac Amnesia

Updated on December 31, 2015
Mihnea Andreescu profile image

Mihnea-Andrei Andreescu is a Romanian Symbolist/Avant-Garde poet and author of "Of Ecstasy and Sorrow".

I shalt sear thee,faithless heart!

And immolate her memory!

Halt beating for her!

Nevermore for her!

I shalt break thee callously

And delve into deep amnesia

There is no other option...

- Forever anesthesia.

I'll discipline thee, animus,

With ardent strikes of lashes,

'Til dusk cries fuming flames

Bedding down on ashes.

The reader is immediately captured by your opening verse in addition to the unique title; I love the bitter sweet feeling that pours out of your writing, well done.

Sad, but many times true! Pain is not easy to erase.

Thank you very much!I've noticed that rhymes are better and deeper when you live them yourself rather than just constructing a fictive hypothesis.

Such depth of feeling; wanting to get rid of painful memories and restore the heart.
