It was a world of rainbow fantasies in oceanic azure sky, hung from marshmallow soft, cotton candy clouds floating on the shores of the wind, blowing water east, down the falls, where gnomes in scuba gear dived on the backs of sea horses in the waters of the deep, where dolphins put on a grandiose performance for the applause of fairies, centaurs, gnomes, and all fairytale creatures known and unknown, in this majestic world of entranced beauty and mythological spectacles, I felt as if indeed, I was in a dream. Pegasus flew over, with white, silvery, shimmering feathered wings, creating shadows over us, all the likes unseen. Peacocks in their splendor, with fluorescent feathers, as if tinged by the rainbows of the sky, paraded by, as if on the catwalk, flooded by paparazzi, flashing cameras and glaring eyes…
And in my mind, with this exhibition of creatures of fantasy, and omnipresent imagination I was dark, of the opposing world, a blood sucking leech, dead, blind to my own reflection, and colder than all Alaskan treasures marinated in ice and toppled by thick layers of huddling snowflakes, probably sticking together for warmth. How could both worlds collide or even exist for that matter? If we were to forge a war against this witch and her militia, I’d have to surmise the strength of a nymph, say, versus a demon would be somewhat profound, but was I just kidding myself? Perhaps Sylvan could shed some light on the sheer capabilities these fairytale freaks would have against the monsters who ultimately sought to take over their world as well as the reasons why…
