Chatting With A Rabbit

Updated on March 25, 2016

The Beautiful Land of Dreams

The other night I had a dream:

While walking home from school,

I met a bunny with a basket...

That was pretty cool,

But even better was the way

He stopped and spoke to me.

(That's when I knew it was a dream,

For they can't talk, you see.)

So anyway, he tipped his hat

(Shaped oddly like an egg)

And said, "I've got to take a break.

This hopping hurts my leg."

I must have looked astonished as

He sat upon the ground

And yawned, set down his basket, and

Began to look around.

"A lovely day for rabbits, don't you think?" I was in shock.

(I don't meet many talking rabbits hopping down my block.)

Just then I wakened from the dream and realized just that:

It was a dream. There was no bunny with an egg-shaped hat.

The Moral of the Story?

I walked outside and stretched a bit,

When hopping up the street

Appeared a bunny with a basket,

Egg-shaped hat, and chocolate feet.
