Christmas Selah

Beautiful One...
into darkness you come
leading the captives free

Do you see me?
On bended knee
pleading for a glimpse of sun?

Holy One...
Gods own son
out of ashes you bring new life

Grief and strife
cut like a knife
like a child to you i run

Healing One...
You say it is done
gentle the touch of your hand

A scarlet brand
a tightening band
Where does our hope come from?

Joyful One...
laughter and fun
In us your heart delights

Deep into night
into our fright
Leaving us never alone

Tender One...
my heart is undone
You speak peace into the storm

Pain is born
Sundered and torn
your Light bursts forth to atone

Fiery One...
bright morning sun
my hearth my hope my home

Weariness groans
So heavy our stones
breathe life into these bones

Knowing One...
our battles won
You alone can show us how

Come to us now
healing wind blow
Hold us safely in your hands
