Silhouettes

Your clever words are cloaked in wisdom
That deftly flow from your enchanted quill.
Your inspiration is ever gushing...
to amaze and enlighten with magic skill.

A sentimental heart, with dark imaginings,
you weave each tale with craft and wit.
From womb to grave, from once to ever,
Each compilation an enthralling writ.

Behind the picture hides the master,
with pen in hand to leave your charge,
so rich in drama, love, and humor,
yet, looms the heart that lives at large.

Your gift is one that is immortal
brands the heart with Muse's Grace.
Your clever words, thus, cloaked in wisdom
are prime silhouettes of humanity's face.

Everyone loves the Epi man. You're right about the nature of his wisdom, too. Sometimes I'll pause after laughing at his wit or banter and think to myself "man, this guy knows a lot about everything."

      Awesome tribute poem.

This is a beautiful tribute to a man who gives us joy and smiles each and every day. He inspires me to write deep and sometimes silly ditties. That's what i like the most about him. He is open and honest. Thank you Marsha.

...and thank you Miss M for your impeccable good taste - lol - and you can see yourself - so many others here love and respect you for your writing and your sublime poetic persona .......

...and if I may, thank you to my 'hub family' up above for your endearing comments - this is a wonderful moment for both of 'us'

"A sentimental heart, with dark imaginings" - well put, I am so surprised that you included those "dark" undercurrents that Colin loves to indulge in.

I am afraid I can tease Epi now with his official title "The Face of Humanity".

kallini, how could I not include Epi's "dark imaginings" in with his sentimental heart? It is a large part of what is so endearing about him, to this reader, anyway...he kinda gave me permission to have that dark side, if you will...lol...thank you for your visit and awesome comment!

....well the 'epi-man' just returned home from his night shift job to check out his other 'home' and yes his heart is warm and his mood is light - and his beloved cats have been fed - he's having a beer (or two) and listening to some hot music - and he's feeling mighty good about his good buddy Miss M - thanking you for his beautiful card and wishing better health for your 'beloved'

.....I am not so good these past few days with one doozy of a head cold so it's leaving me a bit depressed and burnt out. That is why I am here to reach out for your tender loving poetic arms and receive this medicine from you - could anyone else have written a more genuine sincere tribute - I think not!
