Poem: Cobblestone Journey
Desire’s destination promises treasure,
Cobblestone’s journey is a great adventure,
Between cobblestones always seen is measure,
Measure dares my old wisdom’s new venture.
Lines from measures are our life’s amazing maze,
Turns left and right, dead end, go back, start again,
A Dove above sees journey’s end giving praise,
Giants step easily over seen are but cracks.
I’m but only a small mouse, so cracks are leapt,
Surrounding are lines of maze each has their rule,
Each measure is a deep crevice, my eyes wept,
Purpose’s treasure asks “Am I but a fool”?
Surely faith will lead each leap’s new victory,
Trust assures journey's path become not adrift,
Alas, hope encourages belief’s mystery,
Destination without treasure, seen a gift.
