Cold stone
sobering place,
Only rocks
star here,
tilting and leaning
like stoned henge
to the song of the
lonely whipporwill.
Shadows dance
under the full moon,
but are they shadows
or wraithes writhing
in despair behind
wrought iron gates.
Empty at night
but this place is...
full of people
emptied.
Beneath the moss
lie endless masses
coated in white mold
and boxed to prevent
the spread.
Sockets like caverns
provide nests for
the worms,
weaving dreams
long dead.
Stone cold
sober place.
Enter at your own risk
but don't expect to
be leaving soon.
