Come Unto Me (a Song)
He looked from above
On those He spent love
And discovered He was
Despised
See the children of men
Didn't really care when
His Judgment on them would be sent
He shook His head
He, who angels led
For the Blood He shed
Seemed unfelt
And so my Saviour
Withdrew His favour
But with great fervor
He said
REFRAIN
Come unto Me - all ye that labour
And I will give you rest
Look unto me, man and neighbor
I can still save you yet
Don't turn your backs - there's still a chance
For all your needs to be met
My Saviour sent His sparks - to heal the "living dead".
I felt His gaze
And I tried His ways
And now I know what He says
Is true.
See His nailed hands
And His pierced side
His Blood that wipes every stain
I beheld His face
Filled with mercy and grace
And I couldn't stand His gaze
But one thing I learnt
Was that He really meant
Every word of His
When He said:
REFRAIN
Come unto Me - all ye that labour
And I will give you rest
Look unto me, man and neighbor
I can still save you yet
Don't turn your backs - there's still a chance
For all your needs to be met
My Saviour sent His sparks - to heal the "living dead".
