Cookie Time

Updated on December 3, 2012

I Am The Taste Tester

As the fresh smell of cookies fill the room

My heart beats with sweet anticipation

A small plate placed infront of me

With a single cookie

A chocolate chip cookie that is golden brown

With so many chocolate chips it looks like a star covered sky

I get to enjoy bite after bite

As the warm cookie crumbles in my fingertips

The soft texture tickling my tongue

I hear the scraping of a bowl and the opening of the oven door

As another batch of cookies go in

The ripping of wax paper and the sounds of metal tins

My wife all stressed if the cookies are going to come out good

My only thought is when will the next cookie fill my dish that is now empty

So that I may be pleased with tastes that make me so happy

picklesandrufus When the smell of cookies fills the air. I know it won't be long now before my stomach is saying wow.I can't wait to try one. There is not a cookie I have not loved.I also love to watch the cookies cool.Just incase one cookie falls apart when cooling. With a litle help from me.We can't have that.I will just have to eat the poor broken snack size treat.Thanx so much for reading.

shiningirisheyes I am incharge of letting them cool on a cookie rack. Some how they start to disappear.I don't know where they go.They vanish in the kitchen. So I suggested we moved them to a different room.I am keeping guard once again. To soon to tell if any have disappeared.I hear a strange chewing sound I just can't put my finger on it.(lol)Thanx so much and one more thing we can enjoy together.
