Poetic description of the corporate culture
As long as you are young, they show you the world is at your feet,
They make you dream big
You don't even realize
That you only have enough just to survive
You just take the leap.
Moving towards progress, you want to make amends,
To make it better for your peers and friends
There's a barricade you see, at a far away distance.
Are you going to make it and go over the fence?
After every effort, you come closer to the barricade
They seem like people you know,
You feel, they mean help, you walk closer and your people follow
As you go ahead, you hear them laugh,
You know you're on their mark,
Still moving ahead with people who you think are just like you,
bringing good changes for the betterment,
Moving like soldiers in the dark
"Welcome my people, we are waiting for you"
The barricade says with a smirk on their faces,
"Join us and you will find salvation, we are the leaders, it's time you end the sensation"
I look behind, they look at each other,
"I feed a family of three", says one
"They will not let you win," says another
"We took the journey to make things right
We'll do everything to give it a fight"
Speaking on their behalf, you look like a fool,
Coz when you take a closer peek,
You realize, they've joined the pool
"It wasn't a war and I did not look at winning,
I aim at amending and this is just a beginning
This may be your world but the world is mine"
I turn around coz I know it's a sign
This is just one corporate but it's happening everywhere,
People like you are being sabotaged, and for what?
The sincerity, hard work, commitment and for being there,
You'd given it all and that hurts a lot
Walking on an alternate path, you take it a notch higher,
This time, with your world, you light the fire,
The hypocrisy will stop as all of us engage
Put a seizure to everything unfair and everything bad
We will find our way, of Generating Impact'
Soon you will find us standing behind the barricade
