Could I Have Some Toast Please

Updated on June 19, 2013

Simple Pleasures

There are times that are meant to be easy

Little things that please me

Here are some of the activities that I do

I know they never go unnoticed and unappreciated

They fill my thoughts as little acts of kindness

Tiny requests that I can fill

Like favors and suggestions that are asked

To make life more pleasurable and fun

When someone you love makes your heart beat fast

Anything they say sounds sweet

Can you get me my slippers please

Thanks for the cold glass of water how did you know I was thirsty

I am busy would you mind lighting the grill so we can cook lunch

Then I go the extra mile

Making a salad because I know you would love one

Rubbing your feet because I know they are sore

Getting out of the car to fill the gas

Doing the laundry not because I have to

Washing the car to make it look nice

Picking up the broom or vacume

Cleaning the bathroom to make it sparkle

Cutting the grass before it is three feet long

Cleaning the spare bedroom that nobody sees

The list goes on and on

But this is not a honey to do list

This is my honey I want to do this for you

As a thank you for being you

Saying and doing the things for someone else

That they could do for themself

Taking the time out of our day

To make a little effort go along way

      I remeber a song from the early 60s called ´Little things mean a lot.´´´´

your beautiful hub made me think of it and how true.

You must be a very special person
