I stepped on a Crunchy Leaf
My favorite season is Autumn.
I live in Pennsylvania, and the colors here are brilliant. Between the golds and crimsons, I never know where to focus. I could stare out over the forests and rolling hills of the Appalachians forever. What I love even more? When the leaves finally fall. You know anyone who can resist the next step?
Here's a poem about how I'm one of those who can never resist:
I stepped on a Crunchy Leaf
I stepped on a crunchy leaf today.
Its wrinkles?
They were indeed wrinkly.
The crunches, they crunched,
and sounded a bunch
as I stepped off the leaf and away.
The echoing crush
sent a clamor, a mush
through the bustling, gentle airwaves.
Then a resounding hush,
which came in a rush,
stopped my stomping game.
Which season is YOUR favorite?
