Currents of the Water and Wind

Updated on March 23, 2017

Nature's own finest forces of the wind and of the water,

their strongest currents, each do so carry them onward.

As powerful, as are those, the ones inside of each soul,

all that's needed, ours daily, it to search, to look inward.

Powerful forces from the waterfall's swift-moving current,

A creator of electric light to show us all the way each day.

The wind turbine's strength, turning, is seen up on the hill,

So just as fine, the winds for tiny tike's kites, their's to play.

Ocean's currents help us to maintain the environment,

Create climates that provide the needed rains descent.

Helping create forage for fish we all eat, to depend on,

Making warming coastlines and cooler, us to dwell upon.

Currents of the wind, a mild treat, each evening retreat,

Standing on the shoreline, the ocean's waves, complete.

Currents of purest water, pulsing onward to gulf shores,

Provider of recreation, the best ways of life, it so stores.

Water currents, wind currents, are so important, both so vital,

Affected by the pollution, no solution that seems to be in store.

Wasteful ruins of the forests, their provision, the air we breathe,

Chopped down for lumber, to remove, will be felt forever more.

How could they not be a factor, causing climates all to change,

Making nature upset in the process, creating days so strange.

Our weather once predicted with ease and exact, now unsure,

Uncertainty looms in the future, once, its sanctity, to be so pure.
