Daddy's In D-15 ~ A 200-Word Short Story
Daddy's In D-15
Mommy said people used to be buried underground. That was before the dead started getting out of their graves and walking around. I had a dead teacher once, but I didn't learn much from her. She couldn't hold the chalk and I never could understand anything she said. She's also the reason I had to repeat the first grade.
When Daddy died, Mommy decided to rent an eternal freezer for him. She always said she didn't want him walking around trying to tell her what to do. She said she had enough of that when he was alive. That's okay, I heard that his jaw fell off when that car hit him anyway. The man I now call Uncle Joe was driving the car. He said the sun was in his eyes.
We visit Daddy once a week after Mommy goes to the supermarket. I guess she still likes making meals for Daddy because she's always bringing him frozen peas and carrots. Once, she even took him a turkey as big as me. I like to share my popsicles with him.
I like how Daddy is always in the same place. D-15, that's where we keep him! Goodnight Daddy!
