Walk With Me Sometimes
Walk With Me Sometimes
Oil Of Light
Bars Without Bars
You walk with me even in my sleep. I look up and dream of the stars.
Then you would hold my hand as my lips began to tremble.
I couldn't reach you then,I cannot reach you now behind the bars.
I lose the vision of you and then I see a face, a shadow of you,
a shadow with a hollowed cheek.
I remember how your fingers reached out to your guitar.
.
The fingers created for the ears of the world,
as they listened in enchantment as the chords unfurled.
A gaunt vision from a news-reel, a piece of history from afar,
an old fashioned movie hidden behind a bar.
I didn't recognise you, your hollowed cheeks resembled
no other. My Brother, your shoulder should rest on mine.
Lost
They pushed you to a pool in black and earthy mud
They, the Right, smashed your fingers to the bone.
Come now. readers! Just remember ! Step out of
of the canvas, leave the horizon.get to the zone.
Take my arm we'll walk away from this haze.
Show you clearly what occurs when truth is all alone.
His name was Joe and his talented days
where he played for the youth, with a magical tone.
A guitar so mellow and piano he played.
I'll leave my life in the light of the gallery, for you my Brother.
.
The oil of light that burns within and has no days.
