Dancing on Raindrops
Click below to hear me read this poem.
They say I dance on rain drops
The sweetest dream I walk this night
Perfection is the only, for me
We toast champagne
Don crinoline and bustiers
Fishnets, too short, shorts and boots for mudĀ
I see only round and new and glowing
Where lives metal, dirt and dead
And you see it through my grin
Every body a future friend
Every light a star
Every note a sole stirring melody
They smile and are jealous
I have left the real and current pain behind
I am aware that for this moment, I alone
Dance on raindrops
