Poem: Dark Cry
Context
Going through some old boxes over the weekend I happened to stumble upon a few poems from my teenage years, dark, twisted, difficult years...
As soon as I set my eyes on the title of this poem, it all came back... It was a feverish feel, a dreamlike state, because it was actually part dream, part whatever was going on through my mind at that time...
So, here it goes, straight back from 96.
DARK CRY
Dreams far away... nightmares in the night...
Sweat covers my body
Rain falls around me
Darkness in my head... a faint cry...
His hands on me
My lips on his neck
More, more...
A stranger is in the room
My eyes are strongly closed
I fight, I try...
No!
The Darkness...
Somebody sits on the bed
It has no body
It's bad
Thin air refreshes my hot body
And the light doesn't come
Red dreams... Dark dreams...
An Holy Priest watches from the altar
As he touches my burning body
Hell
The bells toll madly
and the coffin closes slowly on me
I say nothing
I do nothing
I watch silent from above
He comes to me
The voices silent once more
The cries die
The tree with no leaves...
Black... White... Gray...
Everything is Gray...
I live in the Darkness
Bless me
I don't believe...
Goodbye!
The candles burn away...
Do you exist?
The cross burns
I burn
He comes again...
I don't want you!
Do I want him?
The red blood drips...
The heart in my hand is shaked
And I ask it:
What do you know?
The house falls on me
I chant in german
He gives me a sermon
And takes me...
I think I'm crazy!
