Dawn Of My Delight (poem)
Oh curse the sun the weariness of day
These constant sources of eternity
Alas there is no light left there for me
Your precious flowers fill me with dismay
-
To sleep in day brings dreams of what will be
The Joys when sun has kindly gone away
It’s then again my heart is free to stray
It’s then again your flowers’ Joy I’ll see
-
Yet while you’re here the pain I feel is clear
As through our day we both now slowly stroll
Until your ebb brings dawn to my delight
-
There in the moonlight once more she’ll appear
My love my life my happiness my soul
And we will build forever of this night
