There will come a time when on your bed you'll lie
Could be in a field could be somewhere queer
Or maybe you will instantly die without any fear
Either way, many of us go
And not sure will we know
Just where we'll go!
So will you have confessed
your miserable sins you committed
And even if you did
were your sins really remitted?
Were you saved
Or do you depend on a priest
And even then
Will your guilt begin to cease?
Perhaps an old faint memory will come to play in your mind
an indiscretion, a sinful digression, something you tried to leave behind
Will return in all it's ugliness
Oh Gee I'm in a mess!
Will you forget you murdered someone's life?
And if you do remember, doubtful you won't
Will comfort come when life is done?
Will there be time, will you run and hide
Ashamed and embarrassed
And too full of pride
To admit and accept forgiveness for the sins
Which were already paid for
By Jesus the Christ
Be clean my friends Be clean indeed
Be clean Be clean Be clean!
God's laws you must heed
For on that dreadful day when demons delight in dragging you away
You'll know you accepted Christ and by His blood you're saved.
God bless you all
May your hearts be free of guile
And everyday you have a lovely smile!!!
