Delicate Explosions
With a face of a thousand tricks
A subtle attack
Like a bonfire unfolding into a mushroom cloud
A train running off its tracks
A head cold
Or cold minded
Her eyes are soft
And glazed over
with the world
In their reflection
Every time she stops to think
Another person falls to her feet
She looks at the energy
Empowered around her
And rinses it off in an acid shower
Her meek face doesn't make her mild
When she melts in front of the eyes of a child
She never thought she'd meet a weakness
Her corroded body spills liquids all over the kid,
Analyzing its senses
She Collapsed in a full bodied embrace
Looking up and out of the buildings shadows
Recollecting her life in the fields, in the meadows
They were set on fire From the match
Used to light her cigarette
The child in her hand turns into a snake
Hissing a deathly rattle
Coiling around her face
The serpent latches to her neck
Injecting toxins
with his venomous kiss
She begs for God
And he kills her wish
Simply bad luck
Or food on a dish
She stumbled downhill
And off into a ditch
Sickened laughs overcame her
Her body rejects her
Lingering in the memory of the child's embrace
