Do not weep for me when l am gone,
Even though our friendship has lasted so long.
Remember the reasons that drew us so close.
The hilarious times, when no-one else saw the joke.
Please do not weep----- though hard to do,
Remember we are all just passing through.
From cradle to the grave, the outcome is the same,
Rich, poor, or Royal, Death cares not your name.
Or your title, possessions, nor position in life,
Death comes to all after long or short life.
Please do not weep, at least not for long.
We are all passing through and then we are gone.
Try to recall , when no-one was there.....
l.... there for you. You there for me...When no-one else cared.
We held each other up We laughed and we cried.
We clung close together, till crisis did subside.
Do not weep for long over me,
We're all passing through. It has to be.
Remember the good times., They were more than the bad.
We were happy, even carefree, more often than sad.
Like schoolgirls we'd giggle until our ribs ached.
And loved like close sisters.....loyal...with no break.
So please do not weep for me when l'm gone.
Who knows what's ahead, after just passing through.
Forever may bring our friendship anew.
