Do You Have Faith

Updated on June 26, 2015

Faith is a single mother raising her children on her own.

Faith is letting your kids walk home from school, knowing they'll get home safely

Faith is knowing the bills will be paid, even though you don't have enough money.

Faith is being pushed out of an airplane, knowing your parachute will open.

Faith is jumping into the arms of a loved one, knowing they won't drop you.

Faith is knowing you won't run out of gas when the gas light comes on.

Faith is watching your kids walk onto stage during graduation to get a diploma

Faith is helping your kids move out and go off to college.

Faith is asking God for something and believing that he'll give it to you.

You see faith is strength and we all have it, just take hold of your faith,

And your faith will take hold of you! ©2008

I like the hub. The only thing I disagree with is that I do not think faith is asking God for something and believing that he will give it to you. I think that faith is asking God for something and believing that in his wisdom, he will provide you with the tools you need to seek it for yourself, even if your quest is ill-advised. That is because you have to learn the lessons of life for yourself and hold yourself accountable for the direction that your life takes. God gives you the gift of life, but what happens during the course of your life is determined by the choices you make, using your God-given intellect.

      Thanks for sharing your hub.
