Is Writing for you?

Do you Enjoy Sharing Personal Experiences?

The choice of writing is unique and not always a comfortable idea to share with other people.

It takes courage to share your personal story to anyone online.

Are you comfortable in sharing your experiences online?

My personal story is about my move from South Africa to Croatia.

The change is there and each day I have a new one. Living in my host country has taught me to be myself.

Do you think sharing your story online will be of help to your readers?

I know my work is useful and will enlighten people who have walked in my shoes in this experience.

Cultures mix and conflict arises as soon as one misunderstands the point of their move to their host country. I learned to be myself and to accept change each day.

In my case, I knew the reason for leaving my country. It still hurt me but, I moved in a new lifestyle.

I can't change the way people think and do but, I can change the way I think and do for myself.

To be myself and allow for each challenge is a great experience.

I enjoy sharing my personal stories and look forward to feedback from readers.

Writing is about sharing, learning, finding yourself, teaching yourself, to feel good about your work, to teach others of your experiences and skills.

To be unique and to share what nobody has a clue of is a good idea in writing.

I never dreamed I would be sharing my personal stories with the many readers online that is just another surprise.

Writing came to me ten years ago and in 2008 when I decided to write online it felt too good to be true.

Life changes, the challenges, and the paths I walked to go forward in experiencing another life in my host country is tough and sometimes I feel the struggle is still there.

I am positive and chose to do different. My positive mind keeps me feeling good daily.

I write from the heart and that makes my work special and unique.

People were not always on my side and I didn't need those people in my life.

They felt the need to be there I didn't think they needed. to be there.

The simple understanding of our experiences will always be different.

I don't try to change people and people shouldn't try changing me.

In my challenges, I had to put up with many individuals and did so for a short period. Some people don't know when to stop being nosy. Others fail to see they are not needed.

I can take whatever challenge comes my way.

Writing about my personal experiences has made feel great!

When you experience an adventure you choose to go with the flow and enjoy the moment.

Your personal experience can be anything of the following:

You could have experienced bullying at school, or at home.

Have an envious or jealous friend or family.

Traumatic issues such as rape or violence from your abusive partner.

Physical or emotional abuse could have spoiled your good life.

Robbed of your valuables and didn’t know who to tell of that experience.

Scar from bad experiences can ruin your life forever. That can be a burn from a fire in your home.

Some people get to move on easily from these experiences.

Obsessions and addictions such as; drugs, gambling, shopping, or the weird addictions as in eating paper, chalk, or soap are somewhat bad experiences.

Did you have a bad experience with an evil person?

I had an experience with an evil person.

It was an unbelievable experience!

I met a woman for the first time and when I shook her hand I sensed a strong vibe and it connected through my soul.

I knew right way she is up to no good!

I can't feel connected to this woman.

The experience scared me!

When someone hurts others and doesn't feel remorse in their actions that person is evil.

You can write of how evil affected you or bring any other experience into your writing.

Writing about your personal experience is a huge step in sharing your secrets.

Most writers don't want to even go there!

Use your own life experiences in your writing to make writing interesting and an unforgettable one.

Are you afraid to write about your own experiences?

What does it mean to write about your own experiences?

Would it be meaningful to your readers?

Is it worthy to you in sharing your experiences with total strangers?

Will family members be offended by what you share online?

If you had to write about your own experiences what would it be?

Would you write about a great adventure with friends?

You can write about what is funny or serious.

No matter what you think of writing can be fun and an enjoyable read.

Would you be affected by what you write?

When I started writing everything came easy on paper.

My experiences gave me that opportunity to continue sharing about my challenges in my host country.

Most people enjoy reading about such experiences.

Foreign couples marry and experience hardship different to the same cultured marriages.

Life affects everyone and in different ways.

Are you ready to write about your experiences?

Letting go is hard the heart knows best.

I am glad to have a friendly community at Hubpages. Comments are helpful and allow for greater encouragement in writing.

Do you think finding your inner voice is a difficult process?

What inspired you to write?

Writing is not for everyone!

Patience is key for better results and with helpful online writers you can succeed.

Returning the favor is easy.

Experienced writers sometimes don't know where to start with writing about their personal experiences.

You need time to think about it.

Don't forgive up!

An effort is required to continue on the idea.

Do you think writing is good therapy?

Sometimes what you write of can change someone's life in a good way.

Imagine how you can do better for others from your writing!

Do you enjoy writing?

Love what you and writing will come easy to you.

The little experience you share can be a challenging moment for you.

When you choose to be happy and positive everything feels good and possible.

You can write what makes you happy, or sad, or from any other emotion experienced.

The key to get your message directly to your readers is an important part of writing.

A good writer knows best of how to begin and end a sentence.

It doesn’t neglect to proof read your work?

You will learn from your mistakes and avoid making the same mistake twice!

Share exciting articles to improve readership.

Since the Internet online writers have increased. Writers are sharing their experiences, and learning from other writers and from their experiences too.

If you lose sight of what is right there in front of you writing will not be easy.

The daily moments can accumulate into an article.

Are you brave to write about your personal experiences?

Do you share your work with an open mind?

When you have an open mind in writing the sky is the limit.

What is your favorite genre?

Does writing come easy to you?

What makes you want to write daily?

Do you always have new ideas?

You can write for many years and still make a mistake but, you have to avoid those mistakes. Readers are not all the same.

Some will pick on you when they find a mistake. Most writers don't take criticism and think negative about their work.

This was very interesting. Getting over the fear of getting personal is a tough job and not for everyone.

Devika, I can see that you're very much focused on writing now. Your questions beg the rest of us, writers, to reflect on why we do what we do. Thank you.

When I first started writing, all I wrote about were heartaches and hurts. It worked like a catharsis for me. When I got it all out I was able to move forward and branch into poetry and stories. I was told about this from a hubber friend and I am so glad I listened. Interesting topic..

Great advice DDE, from your personal perspective. I have become more and more comfortable writing about my personal experiences and readers seem to connect with you more when you do. Good hub.

I must admit that I did not really like writing about the traumas I have experienced in my life - it was extremely painful, but it came naturally, like vomiting, and the results were positive. I got rid of all the poison in my soul. Thanks to the tremendous support I've received from fellow-writers at hubpages, I healed and grew at the speed of daylight.

Devika, emigration can't be easy. Although I hate the current political and social climate, as the government doesn't succeed in their efforts to rectify the failures and injustments of the previous government, but creates even more havoc, I can't see myself being at home in another country. Yet, I envy all who are now living safe and sound elsewhere.

Hi MartieCoetser thank you for sharing your comment in writing of your experiences. Emigration is difficult. I still find it difficult to call Croatia my home settling in a foreign country is challenging I understand your views and know exactly what that means to leave my place of birth. I appreciate you stopping by.

I don't write too many personal experiences except about my experiences with meditation and spirituality. However, I express my personal experiences through my poems.

DDE I think writing can be good therapy. I do write, sometimes, about my life but I do have privacy issues that keep it at a minimum.
