''Don't Let A Grudgeful Heart Stop Your Blessings"

Don't Let A Grudgeful Heart Stop Your Blessings"

Don'[t let the sun go down on your Wrath, and don't lose your blessings because of unforgiven heartaches and pain.
Don'[t let the sun go down on your Wrath, and don't lose your blessings because of unforgiven heartaches and pain.

"Don't Let A Grudgeful Heart Stop your Blessings"

Matthews 6 -14 & 15:

Verse 14 : But if we forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father, will also forgive you.

Verse 15 : But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive you your trespasses.

How many of us, have been misused and abused by someone close to us;and how many of us have been hurt so deeply; that the pain kind of still lingers on. Well, I know the feeling, very well, because I have been there and done that: but we can't let the pass hurt and heartaches block our future blessings that God has for us by holding petty grudges against someone. Sometimes, it's really hard to find it within our hearts to forgive someone their transgressions; because it hurt so bad, but if we don't forgive and let it go, it will eat us alive. If we can only remember Jesus on the cross; his suffering and what he went through, and how he forgave the men their transgressions, even while he was still hanging from the cross: he said father forgive them for they know not what they do. If Jesus could forgive someone at his moment of death; how can we hold forgiveness from anyone.... we're no great than he who made us.

If we're still hurting from pass hurt and pain; we have to get over it and move on. Having a grudgeful heart, always stops the blessings God has for us. We have to pray about the problem and ask God's forgiveness and let it go; because hanging on to the problem is slowly destroying us, and God can't work on any blessings for us because our unwillingness to forgive has blocked the process. There's ungodly people out there that live off of the pain and hurt of others but what they don 't understand is; God is a just God, and what ever you reap, that shall ye shall sow, so be aware, your day is coming to feel all the heartaches and pain that you gave to others. Let's not carry around a hateful or vindictive heart, because God wants to bless us in a special way , but he can't do it if our hearts are holding on to hate and resentment toward our fellowman. Our hearts has to be pure and clean and big enough to let go of our injuries and let God fix the problem . God can do any and all things: just pray and ask him to fix our hearts and forgive us our transgressions and he will work it out for us. So, don't let your grudgeful heart stop you from receiving your royal blessing form God , because you deserve them.

Benny Faye Douglass

      Woman you did well.

A Grieved heart is like a filled pocket. God will not fill a pocket that is alreday filled. when you free someone from your heart, your heart becomes empty, then God Can fill you up. Remember in our weakness (what the world could call failure), the power of God is manifested greatly. A forgiven heart is indeed a blessed heart.

creativeone59: no bigger truth was ever told. I read the passages you quoted in your piece when I was trying to forgive my loved one for his abuse. The Lord healed me then and there and I'm eternally grateful that it was years before that person passed away. All the hate and resentment I held for him was and is still gone. Thank you for such a timely piece.

True enough - sometimes it is hard to do but it makes sense not to carry around the past since it ends up effectively messing up your future! Great message.

      creativeone59,

      What a truthful hub.

Unforgivness will indeed eat us alive. And as you stated, it can also be a blessing blocker. This is an on time word for me.

      God Bless

A meaningful message Creativeone. Holding grudges does absolutely nothing to the person the grudge is held against. It only harms the one holding the grudge.

You made an excellent point and truth: "There's ungodly people out there that live off of the pain and hurt of others but what they don 't understand is; God is a just God, and what ever you reap, that shall ye shall sow, so be aware , your day is coming to feel all the heartaches and pain that you gave to others."

Love and peace my dear sister,

      Forever His,

This is such good advice creativone. Holding on to grudges only cause physical, spirtual, and mental detriment - and losing out on God's blessings are definetly not worth. Thank you creativeone.
