Don't Need A Man
I clearly don't need a man
I can mow my own lawn
reset the breakers
relight the pilot
make my own wage
raise my children solo
shuffle calendar days
and still find time to play
happily dance unchaperoned
purchase my own lingerie
dine with a girlfriend
take in a movie alone
"so why survey the room
why bother with perfume
what's playing in your brain
this mischievous grin, you must explain"
though Miss Independence I pretend
this complication arises
the one little snag that does me in
I'm adoringly addicted to men
