Dopey Ducey

Coronavirus why are you here?

Spreading sickness everywhere.

Arizona is filled with fools.
Opening up your stores and their schools.

Now we must all pay the price.
Governor Ducey, please think twice.

This Coronavirus is running rampant. Maybe it's time to become a transient.

All these idiot people still running about. So afraid of a toilet paper drought.

Just because we listen to Governor
Ducey. Now the whole state is turning into a big "number two", you'll see.

Hospitals are being overwhelmed. But our Captain is not at his helm.

Wear your masks and protect your self. If you don't you may end up on a shelf.

Be careful out there please be safe. Hopefully one day this world will be a better place.

Thanks for the comment Bill. I really appreciate it. Yup, thats what we need out here too. A no-nonsense governor. Some one that can make good decisions and get the job done. In my opinion Ducey is a regular Herman Munster. Dopey.

It is lunacy to me. I simply don't understand not wearing masks. My folks here in western Washington strongly believe in it. Everywhere you look you'll see masks, and we have a no-nonsense governor who got on the mask bandwagon early on and imposed necessary restrictions.

Hopefully the election coming up will weed out the idiot politicians and we can return to some sort of normalcy in 2021.

      Fun poem, my friend!

Thank you, Chris. I appreciate the comment. It's up to all of us to stay safe during this pandemic. We can prevent the spread of this virus easily if we wear masks. However, we all need to be on the same page and participate.

People certainly are not behaving with common sense. You have illustrated the probem very well.

They are also starting to close some businesses here too; thank goodness. The number of infected people in AZ has been skyrocketing ever since they dropped the stay at home order, and reopened social business. Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it, Denise. Take care and stay safe.

Excellent! The CA governor is closing places again and many people are up in arms, but I say good for him. It needs to be done to keep us safe.

      Blessings,

      Denise

Thank you so much, Lora. I really appreciate your comments. Your right, we can't rely on our officials to make good decisions for us. It up to all of us as citizens to protect ourselves. People need to stop being selfish and going to parties, bars, and other social gatherings. We need to do the right things to stay safe. Everyone knows the three main and basic steps to stay safe. Where masks, wash hands, and social distancing. I mean this is elementary stuff people. It's not hard to do. It's not too late. We could easily prevent this virus from spreading as fast as it is. Start practicing safety protocols now, and start thinking of others. We can and will defeat this invisible enemy. However, we need to do it together. Stay safe and be well.

Also thanks for the compliment on the illustration. I had fun drawing that image.

Governor Ducey is a fool. How I agree with your poem, Jason! The problem is he's listening to Trump who now has decided that he's licked the corona virus. I guess that's what you do when you can't think and see for yourself what is going on! Trump reminds me of Nero, the crazy Roman emperor in the way that he runs his presidency. Instead of providing the strong leadership that is needed to beat this virus, he now denies its existence and undermines its seriousness. And Ducey is listening to him! The hospitals are now at full capacity in Arizona and yet Ducey won't take serious action to stop the spread! People need to wake up and see that it's up to them to wear a mask, use hand sanitizers, and practice social distancing to prevent this deadly virus from spreading because our leaders just can't lead! I love your picture, by the way, of Ducey! It really suits him.

Thanks, Brenda I guess some people don't realize how much their actions or lack thereof, affects all of us. When public officials don't take proper precautions during a pandemic like this one, they put the rest of the public in danger. Stay safe and healthy. Have a great day to you as well.

      Jason,

      You got this one right.

People are not wearing masks here either and everything is opening up.

Not to mention those protestors who had no concern for others.

Maybe they are trying to weed out the United States population.

      Have a great day.

Thank you for the comment, Ruby. Your right, we all do pay for people's ignorance. I see way too many people not wearing any kind of protection. I'm really flabbergasted about the whole thing.

Hi, Shauna thank you for the great comment. I really appreciate it. I agree both Governors must have attended the same school. I bet it was called "Dip-sh!t High". Your situation sounds identical to ours. It's scary over here. I mean it makes zero sense. When the numbers were fairly low for people testing positive the Governor put a lockdown on the order. That was good. But then he released it way too early. Of course, the numbers starting going up and up. Now the Governor seems fine with the situation, no need to worry. It's crazy.

Thank you, Nithya. I personally follow safety protocols for this virus. Plus I go out very rarely, only for necessity. However, when I am out it looks like 90% of the people are not wearing masks or gloves. Nothing. People can be so stupid. They think, "I'll be ok." "I won't get it." "If I get it, ill be fine." Maybe people don't realize how dangerous this virus is. Even if you get it and recover you will likely have long term related health issues. Keep praying for us all, we need all the prayers we can get. I'm praying for all of us too. Stay safe.

Jason, your governor and my governor must have gone to the same school of let's-put-the-public-in-danger-so-they-can-spend-their-money.

Our governor has pushed us into phase two of reopening far too soon, in my opinion. Our positive rates have increased tremendously. As many as 3,000 cases and more are being reported daily. Yet, our governor refuses to see the correlation and ease us back into caution. At this point, it's up to each of us individually.

We have to be safe and follow social distancing, use hand sanitizers, masks, and gloves, and protect ourselves when we go out even though places are opening up. I hope and pray the situation gets better soon.

Hi, John thank you very much for the comment. I appreciate it. The virus is really spreading fast here in AZ, USA. 3000+ new cases a day, for the last few days.

Thanks so much for the great comment, Lorna. I appreciate it. This virus is really out of control in Arizona, USA. I think a big part of the increase here is due to Governor Ducey dropping the stay at the home mandate. Plus a lot of people are not wearing masks. There is a lot of carelessness going on out here. The Governor of Arizona needs to make wearing masks in public areas mandatory. I also believe he should order another lockdown.

I loved drawing that picture. I was laughing the whole time. I think Ducey looks like Herman Munster from "The Munsters" that's why I drew him like that. Plus he's stupid like Herman. Haha.

I don’t know Governor Ducey, but I get the message and your concerns about easing restrictions too soon and inviting a second wave of infections. Good work with this Jason.

Apart from the effects of this deadly virus, it has also highlighted the total lacking in common sense and moral decency of world leaders. Your poem sums it up perfectly Jason with your usual wit and creative talent. Brilliant drawing and you have really captured his essence. Loved it - take care my friend.
