My favorite movie

Drive In

Place to cuddle

Watch old classic movies

Gone with the wind, epic delight

Scarlett O'Hara, Rhett Butler, Mammy

Tara, cotton plantation, home

Scarlett's place of refuge

Slavery, war

Drive In.

I saw on the evening news that the drive in movie's are coming back, Oh Joy!

We have a drive-inn about a twenty minute drive away from us. Normally we go quite often in the summer, but for some reason this year we haven't. Must do this before the snow flies.

      Enjoyed your rictameter poem.

We have one fifteen minutes from us...double feature for seven bucks...is that a great deal or what?

Loved it; great haiku my friend.

I saw that on the news, too and thought YAY! We took in a couple of drive in movies while we lived in Florida...my son loved it! There's one here, but it's about 80 miles away. If West Nile wasn't so bad this year, we'd consider it. Great poem, very well done! :)

This fun poem makes me nostalgic for the old days. Drive in movies were the greatest of fun with the whole family. Up on top of the station wagon with a pillow and blanket was the best seat in the house, outside. Yumm. Let's all go to the snack bar...and get ourselves a Coke!

Those were the days, Ruby, when family entertainment was the rage.

Now drug dealers and contract killers take front and center stage.

I long for the drive-in movie theaters now so seldom seen,

With Clark Gable's handsome face on a 40-foot wide screen.

Beautiful rictameter. Lovely video ~ Tara's Theme. Love it love it love it! You mean drive-in's are coming back? Down here they've died a natural death since TV, large screens and all-round sound. Or are they only bringing back the movies to be watched on TV?

Oh my, in my days drive-ins were the in-thing. The dating mecca. The venue for weekly family-outings..... Have so many memories concerning drive-ins!

I like watching movies at a drive-in. Twice, we went to a drive-in around wintertime away from the city and my friend's car ran out of battery. All the other cars had dispersed and we were all left alone. The Diner too was closed before the movie had even ended. It was very dark (imagine the movie Children of the Corn, that kind of place). The kids were already cold inside the car and my toes were freezing for we waited too long for a car boost. I'd be scared again to go for drive-in movies far from the city!

      Pretty poetry! Love it.

Excellent rictameter poem on drive-ins and Gone With The Wind. It would be really cool if drive-ins were coming back. I always wanted to but never got the chance to see a movie at a drive-in. There was one down by house many years ago...but my dad would never take me.....and when I was old enough to drive myself it had been closed for many years. A short but sweet poem about my favorite subject...movies...voted up and awesome.
