E.G.G Q&A: Episode 33

Updated on April 10, 2015

Sorry for the late post!

Sorry for posting this Q&A late, I was very ill yesterday. I'm still going to try to put Episode 34 up today, but if I don't get to it, rest assured I'll have it up by tomorrow!

Watch Marvel's Daredevil on Netflix now!

This Q&A Session contains full spoilers for E.G.G Episode 33: Revenge, and a lot happened in this one! If you have not read it, please click here to do so now!

Josh got a call from an old friend, Kristen Schroder, a nurse at the Chandler Gilbert Medical Center. She told him they had a patient who was ill in ways they could not explain and requested Josh's help. Josh, Eileen, and Acacia arrived at the hospital only to realize that the patient was Tanner Powell, the man who had killed Eileen months ago. After losing control, Josh pulled her out and sent her on her way so that he, and a reluctant Acacia could help save Tanner. After discovering that his separation from the alien symbiote that turned him into Venom was causing his illness, Josh went to fetch his Anti-Venom serum, only for Eileen to take it from him and lock herself in the room with Tanner. After nearly letting him die, the hero in Eileen prevailed, and she cured him, turning him into a sort of reverse version of Venom, Anti-Venom!

Eileen flips out!

She opened the door to reveal Tanner Powell, lying on a hospital bed, hooked up to a life support system. He slowly turned his head.

“Well… well…” He weakly managed. “Look who it is… the shellheads. You guys gonna save my life?” Eileen’s eyes flashed red and her hair flared up.

“YOU!” She growled, her voice split into two.

“Whoa!” Kristen shouted, jumping back.

“Grab her!” Josh ordered, him and Acacia each grabbing one of Eileen’s arms. Eileen wildly trashed this way and that, Josh and Acacia were losing their grip.

“You’ll die for what you did!” Eileen yelled. “You hear me! You will perish by my hands!”

“Say…” Tanner said. “I thought… I killed you…” Eileen broke free and charged at Tanner. Acacia quickly put up a force field. Eileen began pounding at it.

“I’ll kill you!” She screamed. “I’ll kill you!” Josh bear hugged Eileen from behind and started dragging her out of the room. She fought him the whole way.

“POWELL!!!!” She screamed, breathing fire from her mouth. Josh dragged her out and slammed the door. Acacia dropped the force field, weakened.

* * *

Wow, what power! We've only ever seen Eileen really upset like this a few times, when she first used her powers on Julian and when she was fighting the Avengers. I think it's safe to say that in these instances she looses control of her powers and attacks any and everyone in the vicinity. This might be problematic one day...

Acacia's questionable morality

“Ugh,” Eileen angrily sighed, and stormed off. Josh looked at Acacia.

“She needs time alone.” Acacia said. She folded her arms and looked down.

“Acacia? What’s wrong?” Josh asked.

“I shouldn’t have stopped her.”

“Well, you know what he did to her. Eileen gives him what he’s got coming, oh well.”

“Let’s just go see if we can’t figure out what’s wrong.”

“Wait, are you seriously still trying to help him!”

“Yes, Acacia, I am.”

“Well, you can do that on your own.” Acacia began to walk away.

“Acacia, please. I need your help.” Josh begged. Acacia sighed deeply. She turned back.

* * *

Wow, Acacia really has a dark streak! You'd think Tanner killed her too! She really, honestly did not want to save him, and later says that whether he lives or not should be Eileen's call! What ever happened to Acacia to make her so dark inside?

The right call

Tanner coughed violently. Eileen looked down at him.

“You don’t seem to have that much time left.” She said. Tanner coughed again.

“Ya think…”

“Luckily, I have the cure.” Eileen said, holding it up. Tanner’s eyes widened. He lashed out and tried to grab it.

“Give it to me!” He shouted.

“Stay down!” Eileen demanded, slamming him back onto the bed with such force it cracked. Tanner’s heart rate sped up. He began wheezing. He coughed heavily. “Look at you, poor Tanner, dying. And I have the only thing that can save you. Your life is in my hands. Oh, the irony.”

“Give… to… cof, cof… me…” He growled, reaching for it. Eileen shook her head.

“How sad.” She said. “You can’t even find it in you to say please.”

“Give… cof, cof… me… cof…p…pl…” Tanner’s lips quivered, and eyes rolled to the back of his head. His hand fell limp, and his monitor flat lined. Eileen smiled.

“Serves you right.” She said. She turned and began to leave. Then she stopped. She looked at the cure. Her eyes turned green and blue again. She walked back over to Tanner, held his head up, and poured the cure down his throat. Tanner gasped and jumped up, breathing heavily.

* * *

Well, I think it's safe to say that no matter what emotions she's feeling, Eileen always does the right thing. But her judgement seemed very clouded by that evil streak in her, let's hope that doesn't end up being a problem...

Heart of Gold

It was midnight. Candice lie in her hospital bed, coughing. Suddenly she heard a noise. She turned her head.

“Who’s- cof, cof- there?” Anti-Venom came from out of the shadows. She gasped.

“Don’t be afraid…” He said. She took a deep breath.

“I’m not.” She replied.

“Good. Hold still.” He held out his hands and wrapped Candice in white tentacles that emerged from his arms. A few seconds later, he released her. She opened her eyes, then sat up. She put her feet on the ground and stood up.

“I’m, I’m cured!” She said. Anti-Venom turned to leave. “Wait!” He stopped. “Who are you?”

“Just someone else who know what it’s like… to get a second chance.” He jumped out the window, and was gone.

* * *

Well, it looks like that Anti-Venom changed more than just Tanner's appearance! The symbiot now makes him want to help people rather than hurt them. That's a good sign, question is, will it last?

I always feel like somebody's watching me!

Josh, Eileen, and Acacia walked into the library. Agent Rice kneeled on a nearby roof, watching them from afar.

* * *

Well, that was the most ominous epilogue ever! Could this be related to what Fury showed Agent Rice in the file last week? Why is Agent Rice spying on E.G.G? Questions, questions...

See you later today or tomorrow...

Again, sorry for posting this late, just make sure to read 34 either later today or tomorrow and post comments and any questions you have so that I can answer them in the Q&A next Thursday, April 16! And I'll try not to get sick, I promise!

Next Episode
