Envisioned Presence
By: Wayne Brown
Boundless, massive, stretches of sand
Stretching to the ocean's span
Sand and water clash as shore reached
Boundary’s edge, neither breached
High, skyward reaching mountains
Capped with forest’s massive span
Iced with snow caps of white
Shimmering in sunlight ever bright
Ocean waves tumble, boil, and swirl
Blue dark waters from other worlds
Tumble upon rocks along the shore
Never ceasing, always coming evermore
Clouds of puffy, light, white purveyance
Growing, spreading, in their presence
Building on the coming, surging winds
To dissipate then form again
Wind swirling, twisting, whirling down
Tossing leaves and dust around
Roaring across the landscape unabated
Invisible, potent, yet understated
Rain in sheets driven by the speed of wind
Claps of thunder again and again
Lightning stretching from cloud to ground
Rain falling, falling all around
Sunlight breaks across the darkness of night
Signaling day’s coming with light so bright
Painting the sky with a blinding array
Offering the promise of a coming day
Moonlight and stars bathe the night
As the sun sets with its last light
Bringing night and the Heaven’s above
Signs of God and all his Love
