Easter poem - The plan and the purpose
Easter poem - Heaven an Earth
Heaven and Earth,
Were torn asunder,
At sin’s untimely birth,
We were orphans rendered!
The earth burdened,
with thorns and thistles,
as man travailed,
his brow with sweat trickles.
The woman screamed,
in pain of birthing,
the earth burdened,
in corruption writhing!
The wait was long,
but God had a plan.
He wanted us to belong
His son became a Man!
Then came salvation,
upon Calvary’s cross,
to every people and nation,
swamped in chaos!
The cross stood as the ladder,
between heaven and earth,
reconciling man to the Father,
Giving us new birth!
Jesus became the true sacrifice,
To redeem us, he paid the price,
His blood washed away our sin,
His stripes became our healing!
He rose again on the third day,
Defeated death and eternal life gave,
To heaven he became The Way,
Fulfilling his Father’s promise to save!
