Electric City Madness

Updated on March 5, 2010

Electric city never sleeps

mocking angels sift what seems

and weep

The bell tower of compromise rings

strange is the night

blessed is the night

taking refuge in cosmic dream

the poverty of gold

a mortgaged soul

we have an audience to our drama

Kind sir do you have straight jackets for the guests?

Have you seen the way she is dressed?

Sunset slips into eternity

neon black velvet night

will you be be near when our palace is under siege

warm and free

tell me your guarded truth golden haired princess

what do you fear?

We bring black loin cloth for tear

and tell great stories

celebrating the dead passions of the Knight

that is reborn in a field of delicate violets as

joy and prayer surround the murder's death.....

I love it's passion and double entendres. It's excruciatingly wild and wonderful.

Wow! I like this poem. It draws me into a distant world. I don't know what it is exactly, but I feel strangely eerie.
