"Empowerment" 45th "Word" in the Good Words Project

The "Good Words" Project

Empowerment the 45th Good Word in the "Good Words Project." The Light to Love, Good Words Project was created by Joanna 'Grace' Goldsmith, (Jo_Goldsmith11) to inspire her fellow hubbers to be the best writers/authors/poets we could be.

When Jo told me about the project, I made her a promise to write a Poem for each "Good Word" given us, and express what that word means to me.

A special thanks to you Grace for nudging us on with the empowerment of your encouraging words.

Fame is empowering. My mistake was

that I thought I would instinctively know

how to handle it. But there’s no manual,

no training course.

— Charlie Sheen

The meaning of "Empowerment"

Empowerment: Authorization - Enablement - Enabling - Permission - Leave

Empowerment

© by Shyron Shenko

The Empowerment of the mind

Enabling us to comprehend

And our thoughts to shine

With the permission to think

And understand, how our thought began

The Empowerment of the heart

From the heart of infancy where all feelings starts

When kindness is the fashion and compassion rules

You will learn the Empowerment of Loving

And that is not taught in schools

The Empowerment of sight

That we may see the morning light

And the glittering stars

Embedded in the darkest night

To see inside ourselves

To always know and do what's right

The Empowerment of sound

To hear laughter, that is the music of the soul

To hear the songs of birds

The Empowerment of our being

Is worth more than the Empowerment of Gold

Surround me with love

You can always tell who has done the empowering of an individual. When that person uses their power to hurt other people (not in defense, but just because s/he can) they do not get their power from God. God is never the author of evil nor does He ever cause the bad things in this world. He may, for reasons we don't understand, allow certain things to happen, but He is not the instigator of these things. He is always getting the blame for things He didn't do, like Hurricane Harvey.

Seems like everyone believes it is God's Will that these terrible things happen, when in fact God never wants evil to happen to anyone. It is not God who brings bad things into this world, but the evil one, Lucifer, and his buddies who want to do as much damage as possible in an effort to destroy God's empire. It is their jealousy and resentment that fuels their evil deeds. Some people who have been against God (anti-Christ in nature) from the beginning and join with Lucifer to do whatever harm they can. Even though their time in this world is short, as all of ours is, they seem to forget that doing anything at all to obtain fame, power, and money, is a total waste of time, because it has no value at all once they leave this world.

To my thinking, 70 years old is a time when one might be better off trying to mend his/her relationship with God if he or she has need to do that, because the time of accounting is very near. The older one is, the closer to meeting God one is also. Wouldn't it be wiser to prepare for that meeting than to continue to collect meaningless 'stuff' in this world?

Trump has done so much evil in this world to get to where he is now. He has harmed so many people, and one must, I think, consider why some people are so loyal to him given the evil he has done. Is it merely poor judgement and gullibility on the parts of Trump's supporters, or is there more to it than that?

Without question, if Trump's supporters had been his victims as so many other people have, they would be screaming bloody murder over their misfortune, but they seem to believe doing it to anyone other than themselves makes it OK.

In the end, I believe Trump's supporters will realize they too, are his victims. Perhaps more so than the rest of us, because through their support they enabled him all the more to do so much harm to people who had no ability to fight back.

Most people seem to use their Bibles as coffee table books to impress -- or door stops. They seem not to have read it, or maybe their reading comprehension is lacking? I would advise anyone who calls themselves a Christian to get a modern English version of the Bible and read it carefully. It's too important to brush off because they can't understand the Old English most King James Bibles are written in. That excuse won't fly when they find themselves standing before Jesus.

Children are Jesus' favorite people and his next favorite people are poor people. People that in this world are not only financially disadvantaged, but who are often ridiculed and slandered, especially when they try to do good things.

People who abuse others in this world may receive fleeting honor for their trouble from people who don't know any better, such as the cop who recently roughed up and arrested a nurse in Utah because she refused to break the law on his demand, but arrogance and abuse of power will count less than nothing in the next world. That 'next' world is always just around the corner for all of us. One never knows when their time in this world will end, so it is the wise person who always has their bags packed, ready to go.

And so when one finds themselves doing mean spirited ugly things, it is good to consider where their empowerment is really coming from. And then make changes while there is still time.

I hope you are enjoying this lovely cool day, Shyron. You, and John, and Chipper, too. Tomorrow is to remain cooler than usual and then back to the furnace. I hope every day is getting a little easier. Take care dear friend. Blessings . . .

Au fait, thank you for the comments. Yes to empower a megalomaniac with the power to do anything he was is just crazy, I think we all knew that before the election. I saw a man on TV last night who wrote a book about trump and he (trump) did not like the truth and when this man went to play golf at one of his courses, trump had the man thrown out of the club. Trump is very vindictive man.

Hope all is well with you.

      Blessings my friend.

Seems like Trump has always gotten anything he ever really wanted, and now the presidency of the U.S. Do you think they'll be able to make hats big enough for his swollen head once he takes over as leader of the free world?

Something tells me 'empowering' Trump was a mistake. In fact I thought so even before it actually happened. I picked this word because it was the 45th word in the Good Word Project and Trump will be our 45th president.

      Take care . . .

If everyone would only open their minds so many problems could be solved. Most problems are an issue of misunderstanding in communication. That's from Tesla, not me, but I agree with him. Sharing.

Sharing this again. Everyone needs to take stock and realize what is really important and what isn't and then empower themselves to act on the important things while getting rid of the clutter that can make it difficult to see what really matters.

      Excellent expression as always.

Au fait, thank you my friend, I hope you are dry and safe that you have not been washed away, with all the rain we have had today. Maybe we are living in what is going to become a new Rain Forest.

I have not seen this much rain in all the years we have been here.

May God Bless and keep you safe.

So often we only have to empower ourselves, to believe we can, to give ourselves permission. Henry Ford, who invented the assemble line, said if a person thinks they can, or if they think they can't, either way they're probably right.

Well said. You always choose the best words and express your thoughts so well. Voted up, BAUI, pinned to Awesome Hubpages, and shared.

      Hi shyroneshenko.

Uplifting poem detailing every aspect our being, even '"to always know and do what's right, " - simple access to right-eousness.

So wonderful to be connected to source of "authorization" then knowing is there when we need it.

( Can't just push away a first thought coming to my mind instantly after noticing your 45th Good Word , namely ": You shall receive power--ability, efficiency and might-- when the HS comes...; you know what I mean...)

      Up and beautiful

      Blessings with you.
