Encourage Your Inner Drive

Updated on June 20, 2015

Listen To Your Pulse

We are all born with incredible abilities

That may go undiscovered our whole life

Unless we tune in to our inner core

While turning out the outside world

Staying focused on what makes us happy

Carefully avoiding what makes our body cringe

Going the extra effort

Seeing deep beneath the surface

Not getting caught up in all the hype

Some people live thriving in a world of confusion

They are always finding fault

Complaining becomes a way of life

Dragging down friends and coworkers

Be careful not to be blindsided

Remember you are the master

Of your life and your future

When the chance presents itself

Try to get the proper exercise , nutrition and rest

If you take care of your body

It will take better care of you

Brakel2 I have learned to refocus my energy in a more constructive manner. Spending all my time and energy coming up with new solutions so this problem will never happen again. I am so preoccupied with doing good no time to be bad and think why? Always a pleasure reading your informative hubs.

Hi Dream On - I try real hard to stay focused and mindful by meditating and forgetting the bad. Most of the time my mind remembers everything, so I must concentrate more thoroughly for this to work. Thank you for sharing your ideas in this poem to remind us what is important. Sharing. Audrey

MsDora We have to get to know ourselves. It is easy to make other people happy because they often tell us what they like or don't like. We can get so involved in other activities we may forget what we still want. Our joys ,needs and dreams may change over time. I enjoy my quiet time getting to know a little more of me. Thank you for reading and sharing. Have a beautiful day.

Tuning in to our inner core takes time, I think. That may be where we lose out because we're always so busy doing less important things. We need to pay attention to oursleves. Your poem is very encouraging. Thank you.
