Encouragement - 22nd "Good Word" in the Good Word Project

Updated on June 14, 2020

Encouragement the 22nd good Word

The 22nd word in the "Good Words" Project.

Jo Goldsmith has made it her mission to Encourage her fellow Hubbers to become learn to live by the good words she gave us weekly.

From the moment I learned of the "Good Words Project" I promised to write a poem for each word and this is the 22nd and this is the 22nd Word, and it's meaning fits Jo 'Grace', she is encouragement to me.

Encouragement

Source

Like the Momma bird teaching her little ones to fly

On wings of encouragement they streak across the sky

Jo gives us words

To practice using to live by

Encouragement is the act of encouraging someone

To be more than they can be

To inspire them to encourage others

To reach as high as they can reach

That is how an encouraging chain begins

Encouragement when we receive that extra push

It is the urging from a friend

To try and try again

Who says "keep on trying" and you will surely win

Encouragement with the tug of an urchin’s hand

Combined with his impish grin

He knows that he will win

You will be encouraged to do most anything for him

True Encouragement

Encouragement

Who encourages you to be more than you can be, tell me in the comment section below.

Things from people that Encourage

The flowers are from my friend Shelia, the I Love You hand is from my son Brett, the Angel is from my husband. All these things are Encouragement to me.

Think we could all use a little encouragement right now. We almost never hear about anything good anymore. It's all Trump this and Trump that all day everyday, 4 or more screwups everyday. Hard to keep up, and depressing at the same time.

I'm hearing that violence is expected just before the Nov. 3rd as well as after if Trump doesn't win. The planned kidnapping of the Michigan governor we just the beginning, and thankfully that didn't work out. If you look at the faces of the men who have been arrested for the plan, you will see stupid smeared over all of their faces.

At least the temps seem to be cooling off somewhat. Enjoy while it lasts. Take care, and stay safe . . .

Most of us could use some encouragement these days with Trump bringing darkness to everything that crosses his mind. Seems to be working on creating a police state and deepening the poverty in this country in order to make his swamp friends richer. How does he plan to pay for that wall if he reduces taxes for the wealthy, many of whom already pay NO taxes??

One way is by ending social programs. He's already done something wonderful for the active military as he promised to look out for them. He's ended daycare for their children so they have to find the money for private childcare and probably send their kids to bed hungry as food stamps were taken from them months ago already. Wonder why he thinks forcing our military to live in abject poverty makes America better? The fact that they qualified for food stamps even before he ended the childcare program should be a little hint that military life sucks and America's greatfulness to those who serve has very definite limits. Maybe I should be more accurate and say Republican greatfulness . . .

      Take care . . .

Au fait, thank you so very much for the comment, and the share.

Hope all is well with you, I was in so much pain a few minutes ago, I felt like I was going to pass out, but I sprayed my leg with Stopain and it eased, John was sleeping and I did not want to wake him.

Came back to share this wonderful poem again as lots of people need encouragement in the summer because it's hard to stay inspired when nothing much is happening on HP.

Hope all is well there, take care . . .

Lovely poem about the energy of encouragement. For that reason I keep writing for hub pages. The encouragement I have received over the nine months since I'm on this forum has done more for me as a writer/ author than any book reviews or compliments from friends or family about me as an author. Some have never read any of my novels! No matter how many books a person might have published, that does not mean they see themselves as a very accomplished writer. Awesome, shared and Voted up!

Au fait, thank you for the compliment, voting up BAUI, pin and sharing. Yes, I thought they would lower my hubber score again.

Hubby finally got off the ladder about 30 minutes after you called, and he is unhappy with the light he fixed. Oh well!

I hope you get some rest my dear friend.

Excellent poem and a very nice photo from Maureen too. I love the tall trees. Your poem is especially meaningful because here at HP we all need lots of encouragement because HP likes to play mind games with the hub and hubber scores among other things.

Voting this up and BAUI, pinned to AH, and shared.

What a great community we have here at Hub Pages. It is truly the spark that lights my fire every day and I cherish all the support from friends like you and Jo and Mar, Bill, Mike, Martie, Ruby, Genna, Au Fait, and so many others I have failed to name here (please forgive). Gorgeous poem on this word, encouragement, something we all need and cherish. Shyron the video was chillingly beautiful.
