Eternal Dawn
The birds are now singing
Light rays peek in the East
Even fog now a memory
Surely blackness long gone
Still though the sky lightens
Something yet stifles joy
Where once pain and sorrow ruled
Now frustration grows strong
Patience a cruel virtue
Promise won’t turn to success
Tomorrow won’t become today
Seems that just right must be wrong
Still taxi on runway
Wait for O.K. to take off
Still wait for release to fly
Bow string simply yet drawn
Stand still as time races
Realized dreams take so long
What was forever night
Now seems Eternal Dawn
