Euphoria: A POEM

I saw through the window of my heart
A tiny hand
Fresh face filmed for fame
In the fairy land of joy

Through the months of nurturing
In the umbrella of the womb
Trekking through time
The caress; the patting

A bun in the oven
Mothernature is germane
Our mothers; our pride
A heart full of care
Yielding sweetness divine
Straddling through the months
The gift of life within
To spill a fortune
Another bundle of joy
There she is, new and fresh
The newest baby on earth
Beatitude is your name!

Dedicated to my sister Mau for bringing to life another bundle of joy!

There is no substitute for the warm feeling and beautiful joy of birth. To bring another human into this world, to love and cherish and call your own. I cried each time one of my children came from the womb, moments I cherish and never will forget and hold dear to my heart forever. This is a brilliant poem and I'm certain your heart was overcome with a peaceful feeling knowing that this child will be loved by all. Bravo my poetic friend.

Thanks a million, Ken. Sweet words as yours can only bring gladness to the heart. There is beauty and sheer joy in bringing to life another human; this is especially true when the baby is related to you. I am pleased to read from you. Thank you, Sir.

A more confident poetic hand here, my friend. A willingness to let the reader into the enthralling experience--a TRUST in the power of the images to open the path. This is a poem I very much enjoyed.

wOw! Words like yours are like the sweet-smelling aroma of a yam-porridge; it has the power to arrest the nose and water the mouth cos it is appetizing. I am most grateful to you, Moonfroth. I'm still sharpening my writing pen to spill out more... Always grateful!
