Even If The Stars Don't Last Forever (Poetry)

Updated on June 8, 2013

You ask me all the time
How can I love you so?
The honest answer is
I really don't know

It's this feeling I get
That everything's all right
Especially when you're by my side
When we lay in bed at night.

Just to have you near
Erases all my fear.
No more stressful worries
No more lonely tears

It's peace and harmony
With you in my world
And I know in my heart
I'll always love you girl.

Even if the stars don't last forever
We'll still be together
Through thick and thin
I've found my life
So I ask you now
Will you be my wife.

You ask me all the time
Will our love ever end?
The honest answer is never
Never ever will it end.

I know in my heart
This answer is true
Because I don't know what I'd do
If I ever lost you.

I couldn't picture my world
Without the sun
Your smile is my sunshine
That's how I know you're the one

So you don't need to question
If I'll walk out that door
Cause your the only girl
I could ever adore

Even if the stars don't last forever
We'll still be together
Through thick and thin
I've found my life
So I ask you now
Will you be my wife.

This was one of those rare times where I had a melody in my head as I was writing. The whole poem xame out like a love song.

Great poem and very touching. How could a woman hear those words and not feel like the luckiest woman alive? Voted up and awesome.
