Everyone Poops

Updated on June 12, 2012

This book is a bunch of crap!

I do not think any child is unable to grasp the concept of poop, to the point of requiring a book specifically devoted to it. What will they learn from Uncle Bob and public school if they already know all there is to know about poop? Sure read it once, have a good laugh. But you don't really want this book on the shelf to be brought out to you every bedtime. Do you?

And you may say that it is a potty book, and there is a need for potty books, but doesn't this particular potty book just make them fascinated with poop at the zoo.  Doesn't it just encourage potty humor.  It focuses very little on the potty for a potty book.

Quote:

"An elephant makes a big poop -a mouse makes a tiny poop."

:) It's funny, its informative, and it pisses off ridiculous parents; what isn't there to love about it?! Have you covered It's Just A Plant, yet? Lordy, I can't wait what you have to say about that...

    • kazza77 6 years ago

Well I think it is an eye opener. This book has a good purpos , The story is both educational and an imagintive explanation of the Why? Questions. Different .children would find it amusing.

    • anonymous 7 years ago

      haha. i poop too!

    • anonymous 7 years ago

This is one of the best children's books ever. People need to get over the preconceived notion that bodily functions are not natural. Children are naturally curious about how their body works from why do I blink my eyes to why do I poop. This book is perfect for that. It is not overly graphic yet straight to the point. Very imaginative and humorous. People need to stop being so prudish!

    • anonymous 7 years ago

everything DOES poop :D except girls ;) girls dont poop :) lol i loves thish book thosez :D

    • anonymous 7 years ago

my little boy really hates pooping he thinks his poop is the only kind that is stinky. this book really helped him weird I know but true

    • anonymous 7 years ago

A lot of kids are brought up by their parents either not knowing that everyone poops (yes, there are a lot of kids that don't realise this - their parents are too prudish), or they're actually raised to think it's bad. It's normal.

this isn't a how to poop book, like it's being made out to be. i think its just a book to try and help children feel more comfortable about pooping. when youre a baby, you just poop, you dont know what youre doing, you just do it, but as a kid gets older and notices that they have to poop, im sure thats kind of freaky to them. i think its a good book for what it is.

    • anonymous 9 years ago

i loved this book as a kid! and i still love it now!

    • j3nny3lf lm 9 years ago

I have to say that my kids LOVED this book. And frankly, so did I. I can't understand why anybody would dislike it, honestly.

    • anonymous 9 years ago

I bought this book before I had children and had it displayed in my bathroom. Then when I had kids, they loved it. "A one-humped camel has a one-hump poop, a two-humped camel has a two-humped poop. Just kidding." Was a favorite line in my house. C'mon this book is just plain fun, I am saddened that this book is on the worst book list!

OK, maybe not "great read," but then again I'm not two. :) Out of the variety of potty books that are out there, this one qualifies as a bona fide classic! (Not that I don't get incredibly sick of it, because I do.)

Sorry, not my cup of tea.

I would reckon it teaches kids it's funny to stick your hands in and paint the walls and as a mother whose had kids do this when they were just starting to think about what's in their nappies/pants I certainly didn't need them to be encouraged, is it some government initiative as that's normally the sort of thing what they think of.

      • anonymous 7 years ago

its better being said than being released to the public in a book lol though
